Reverend Karen McMartin
Retired Pastor in Residence
We are blessed to have as a member of our congregation a retired pastor, the Rev. Karen McMartin. Karen leads our adult education studies, assists with Holy Communion, and fills in for Pastor Ravinder when he is away.
Rev. Karen McMartin is a retired elder in the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference. She was born in Minnesota and grew up in the northern Great Plains of the United States. She attended the University of Minnesota where she received a Bachelor of Chemistry degree from their Institute of Technology and a Master of Education in secondary school education. She and her husband Don moved to New Jersey in 1983 and Karen attended Drew Theological School where she received her Master of Divinity degree. She served as the Director of Christian Education at the North Branch Reformed Church while in seminary and since has pastored the Methodist churches in Hampton, Green Village, Rutherford, Port Morris and Teabo. Karen is pleased to be able to focus her current ministry on adult education.
Blair views his role’s main objective as making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. He also feels his principle responsibility is to represent the laity of the church to the conference and district, to lead the laity of the congregation in planning and executing its mission and ministry, to interface between the Pastor, District Superintendent, and Bishop and to serve as a lay member of the Annual Conference.
Blair is a mergers-and-acquisitions banker in the healthcare sector. Blair, his wife, Kendra, and three young children live in Whitehouse Station. In his spare time, Blair likes to ride his horse and is an avid birdwatcher.
Director of Music Ministries
Peter joined WUMC as Director of Music Ministries and Organist in November 2016. He has a strong background in all aspects of church music and is excited to share his talents and inspire people to express their worship through music. He enjoys working with children and adults in choral, handbell and orchestral ensembles. Mr. Stevenson also teaches music at Hunterdon Central Regional High School where he has taught music theory and composition, advanced placement music theory and keyboard classes since 2006. He enjoys accompanying many of the choral concerts and working with percussion ensembles and assisting with various bands and orchestras. Peter and his wife, Julie, live in Readington Township.
Our office manager Meegan keeps everything impeccably organized and keeps the church office humming along efficiently with a helpful “can-do” attitude. Among many other things, Meegan prepares the weekly bulletin and handles the administrative tasks of the church. Hers is the cheerful voice you hear when you call the church office.
