News from Our Sunday School

Looking back on this year, I would have to say we definitely accomplished what we set out to do. Our mission was to keep with our theme, “We Are Called to God to Make a Difference,” by making a difference and touching lives in WUMC, the community and the world. The children have actively collected food, prepared and served a lasagna dinner to raise money for UNICEF, gave freely to those who were in need, rang bells for the Salvation Army, served our church with the gift of music, and baked goodies at coffee hour, to just name a few.

I also wanted to thank everyone who has helped to make this year a successful one. All the teachers and substitute teachers who volunteered their time teaching our children the love of Christ. The parents who faithfully got their children to Sunday school and proudly watched them as they sang in church, the children for their willingness to come to class and for their bright smiling faces on Sunday morning, and of course for Pastor Shawn for her guidance and support throughout the year—THANK YOU!!!

I wish you all a fun, safe and relaxing summer and look forward to seeing you all back in September.
