I Have News—How Do I Share It?
Each Sunday our worship bulletin is filled with information about the marvelous activities all are invited to enjoy in our church life: upcoming studies, meetings, programs, and plans. We enjoy many avenues of faithful ministry, and the fullness of our bulletin reflects this fact! Our “diary” in the bulletin, as well as this newsletter, are the means by which we offer reminders and information specifically about church life.
Frequently we receive requests to advertise news of events happening around the community: dinners, classes, social services, and entertainment-- being offered by other organizations. For space reasons, we do not include these items in our Sunday bulletin or newsletter, rather we post these items on the bulletin board in the Friendship Hall entitled “Community News.” Check the board regularly to keep up-to-date about the many community opportunities in our area!
(And be sure to stop by the bulletin board on which you can sign up for ushering, greeting, flowers, children’s church, and more!)
Phone Chain Volunteers Needed
There is a need for volunteers to assist with a new communication calling chain. The task would be to call a pre-determined portion (not more than 8-10) of the church directory to relay a specific message. This calling chain is initiated when it is necessary to contact the congregation with important communications. Please contact the church office if you are able to volunteer for this very important ministry.
