Our Music Ministry is an important and integral part of our worship experience. During the 10:00 service, we have an organist to accompany our worship, while the Chancel Choir, led by our Music Director, Eunice Colmon, leads us in song. We sing from the standard Methodist Hymnal, and the hymns we sing range from traditional, to praise, to contemporary.
Everyone is invited to become a member of the Chancel Choir. All levels of ability are welcome and the only requirement is a desire to sing and praise the lord! Choir rehearsals are held at 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings from September through May. If you have any questions or would like to sing in the choir, please contact Eunice Colmon. New choir members are always welcome!
This is our children’s choir, led by our organist, Patty Turse. Boys and girls ages four and up are encouraged to participate. The children’s choir sings approximately once every six weeks. The children rehearse on Sundays after the 10:00 a.m. service, on an intermittent basis.
All God’s Voices Choir
For those who would like to sing in the choir but don’t have the time, we have the “All God’s Voices” choir, which sings several times during the year at the 10:00 service. This group meets for rehearsal with the Choir Director after the 10:00 am service, on an intermittent basis.
We have two handbell choirs, one for adults, another for children. Each choir performs several times a year at the 10:00 a.m. service. Groups meet one evening each week for a one hour rehearsal. New handbell players are always welcome!
From time to time, musically inclined members of the congregation share their talents and perform solos, duets, or accompanied pieces. Anyone who likes to sing, play the piano (or violin, or flute – or whatever!) is encouraged and welcome to share their gifts for the glory of God and enjoyment of all.
